DIGIPAY 2026: real time is now a regulatory requirement

IBS Bulgaria was a main sponsor of DIGIPAY 2026, the conference for secure and convenient digital payments, for yet another year in a row. The event took place on 8 October 2026 at Inter Expo Center in Sofia and brought together banks, payment companies, regulators and technology providers around fraud prevention, anti-money laundering and payment security.

Our topic, as every year, was fraud prevention.

• Keynote: Real Time Is Now a Regulatory Requirement. Svilen Stanchev, Sales Director of IBS Bulgaria, on real-time fraud prevention as a requirement that regulation now sets for payments.
• Discussion: Deepfakes in payments. Svilen Stanchev took part in the panel on biometric attacks, manipulated pictures and faces, and the use of AI by fraudsters.

The fraud block of the conference also covered the AI fraud challenge for the financial sector, information sharing between institutions, and where anti-money laundering meets fraud prevention.
