Application modernization

  • Containerize the monolith. Run the existing application on a container platform to gain a common way of deploying and operating it.
  • Turn legacy into APIs. Expose existing functions so new channels can use them without touching the core.
  • Refactor into microservices. Split out the parts that change most often.
  • Add new microservices. Build new capabilities next to the old system and not inside it.
