Integrated system for control of the Petrol products

National Revenue Agency (NRA) controls petrol products movements in Bulgaria with the help of a sophisticated system built by IBS.

In 2013 a new regulation was applied in the industry in Bulgaria - Trading with petrol products released to the market was put under closed supervision by the authorities. All traders are obliged to declare each movement of petrol products.

NRA needed a complex solution:

- A system to organize the whole declaration process as a digital service solution.

- A system to bring all the data from National Customs Agency for validation and analysis purposes.

- A DWH&BI solution to integrate data from the digital service, Customs Agency, Petrol Stations and the core system to control revenues in NRA.

- Analytics application for reporting, analysis and risk management.

IBS was selected for this project in 2012. The project was to deliver the end-to-end solution, support and further development for 5 years. The system was in production in June 2013. Since then it serves all digital services and analysis tasks for NRA and economic operators.
