Analytics for Excise Duties Collection

Analytics for Excise Duties Collection was build for Bulgarian National Customs Agency.

The solution IBS provided consists of a DWH model including datamarts, over 200 reports from different domains - execution, planning, controlling, movements, transports, etc., more than 75 KPI’s organized in tens of dashboard applications.

The architecture of the solution is based on following technologies:

Data warehouse engine: Informix Advanced Enterprise Edition v12

Data integration: InfoSphere DataStage 11.5

Presentation: Cognos Business Intelligence

The purpose of this project was to build full reporting and monitoring management information system for the entire process of Exise Duties collection process.

The processes covered are - Economic operators registrations and licensing process, reporting to national domain, internal EU movements (EMCS), reporting to EU domain, planning, controlling, finance, etc.

The solution brings standards to the reporting around all the processes connected with excise duties collection.

It represents single point of truth for the management and employees responsible for the process. Single point for reporting and monitoring.
